Class M5C No.767 at Colombo Fort station on December 30, 2007

Class M5C No.771 had just arrived from Kandy on December 30, 2007 and was in the process of running round its' train at Colombo Fort station

It then departed back to Kandy at 10:25hrs from Platform 2 on December 30, 2007

No.767 works through Maradana station with empty stock from Colombo Fort on December 31, 2007

Class M5B No.772 arrived at Colombo Fort station with damage to its' cow-catcher after it grounded on a level crossing up country on December 31, 2007

No.772 makes its' way to Maradana for repairs to the cow-catcher at the opposite end. This loco still carries the old colour scheme which in my opinion is far better than the maroon scheme.

The damaged cow-catcher was in the process of being removed in Maradana ELS depot so that the loco could get back to work without it on December 31, 2007

Thanks to Richard Gennis for these shots
